AffinitiQuest is happy to announce that Ron Mac Donell, Chief Executive Officer, has joined the Council of Canadian Innovators (CCI). The Council was created in 2015 by Canada’s most successful technology CEOs to ensure their voice was heard in the public policy development process. CCI brings together CEOs and founders to advocate for policies that strengthen domestic innovation, intellectual property development, and digital sovereignty in an increasingly complex global environment.
As the world undergoes rapid digital transformation, shaped by geopolitical tension, accelerating AI adoption, and growing concerns around data control and dependency on foreign platforms, Canada’s ability to assert technological sovereignty has never been more critical. By joining CCI, Ron reinforces AffinitiQuest’s commitment to ensuring that Canada not only participates in, but leads, the global movement toward secure, interoperable, and privacy-preserving digital trust infrastructure.
“Canadian innovators have an extraordinary opportunity, and responsibility, to define how digital trust is built and governed,” said Ron Mac Donell, CEO of AffinitiQuest. “Through collaboration with the Council of Canadian Innovators, we can help shape policies that protect Canadian data, strengthen our innovation ecosystem, and ensure that emerging digital credentialing and trust frameworks reflect our national values of transparency, accountability, and inclusion.”
The Council of Canadian Innovators provides a unified voice for home-grown technology leaders to influence public policy, promote responsible innovation, and secure Canada’s long-term competitiveness. Its work spans critical sectors including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, privacy, and digital infrastructure—areas directly aligned with AffinitiQuest’s mission to enable trusted digital interactions for governments, organizations, and citizens.
